of calvin and hobbes

I used to hate writing assignments, but now I enjoy them. I realized that the purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure poor reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!

This kid surely knows how I feel after years of schooling...

Eight years, I have considered writing as something I feel like I am good at. I have danced, sang, acted, and danced again, but I know I'm not good at all of the above. I just know how to project myself onstage, but no expert of any other than writing. I'm not the best writer in the world, I just happen to know how to do this and that, and I just happen to be much better than some people with their grammar. Other than that, I'm nothing else, I suppose.

But now, I think I have grown of writing...I'm not writing for sheer fun anymore. I'm writing because I HAVE TO! how's that for a hobby?
